Getting started

What is MiloPet?

An app for looking after your pet: it builds their vaccine, deworming and weigh-in plan, reminds you on time, keeps their record, and, if you like, lets you share their moments with others.

Does it cost anything?

It's free to install and use, and there's nothing to buy in the app today. MiloPlus, the paid plan, is coming soon. Reminders and the health record always stay free, and before any payment we'll explain the terms clearly. What MiloPlus adds

What is MiloPlus?

MiloPet's paid plan. It isn't out yet, and there's nothing to buy today. When it comes, it adds these for the whole home: more room (up to 6 pets and 6 people), temporary sitter access, a higher daily limit for stories, page covers, and a small badge next to your name that you can turn off any time. Reminders and the health record always stay free.

Do I need an invite code to sign up?

Signing up may be invite-only for a while; if it is, the app tells you when you sign up. Get a code from a friend who uses MiloPet, or, if someone in your home already uses the app, their home code works too. If you have no code, you can wait until we let you know.

Which pets does it work for?

Cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, fish and more. The full vaccine and deworming plan is for cats and dogs today; for the others you get a record and regular weigh-in reminders.

Is it available in English?

Yes. The app starts in Persian, and you can switch to English in Settings › Language.

Does it work offline?

Yes, most of it. Reminders are scheduled on the phone itself, and offline you can still tick tasks off, log a weight, add a pet and read the record. Changes are kept safe on the phone and sync by themselves once you're back. A small label at the top says you're offline; tap it to see what still works. Syncing with the rest of your home, hearts and comments, sending photos and stories, and search need a connection.

Care and reminders

Why didn't my reminder arrive?

Some phones (especially Xiaomi, Samsung and Huawei) delay or stop notifications to save battery. These three things usually fix it:

  1. In your phone's settings, allow notifications for MiloPet.
  2. Under battery, take MiloPet out of "battery optimisation" or "background restrictions".
  3. If the phone asks, allow alarms and exact reminders.

For anything critical, don't rely on the reminder alone.

Does the app diagnose illness?

No. MiloPet reminds, records and gives general information; diagnosis and treatment are a vet's job. If you're worried about your pet's health, talk to your vet. Veterinary disclaimer

Where does the care plan come from?

It is built from international veterinary guidelines (WSAVA, AAHA and ESCCAP) and fitted to your pet's species, age and history. It doesn't replace a check-up: if your vet says otherwise, follow your vet; you can change any date.

Privacy and data

What information do you collect?

Only what the app needs to work: your email, display name, your pets' details and whatever you post. We don't ask for your phone number or contacts. Location is only for the nearby map and never reaches our servers (details). Privacy

Does the app ask for my location?

Only for the map of nearby vets and pet shops, and only when you tap a button such as "Show what's near me". Your position is read and used on the phone itself and is not sent to our servers. If you say no, you pick your city from a list, and the rest of the app works as before.

Two notes, to be precise: to draw the map, the app downloads map images of the area on screen from a map service. And if you suggest a new place on the map yourself, the spot where you put the pin comes to us with your suggestion.

Who can see my pet's health record?

Only you and the housemates you invited. The health record is never made public.

Do you sell my data or use it for ads?

No. There are no targeted ads, and no other company's analytics or advertising tools are in the app.

How do I delete my account?

In Profile › Settings, at the bottom, tap "Delete account". There is a way even if you can't reach the app. How to delete your account

Household and account

How do I add my family?

In the app, make a home code from Invite; each code works for 7 days. Give the eight-character code to the other person, and they tap "Join with a code". From then on, the home's pets and reminders are shared, and when someone does a task, everyone sees it. A home code is not the same as the friends invite code: a friend who joins with that one sees nothing of your pets or your home.

What do I sign up with?

Your email.

My sign-in code isn't arriving. What do I do?

First check your spam folder. If it's not there, wait a few minutes and ask for a new code. If it still doesn't arrive, tap "Code not arriving?" on the sign-in screen and our support team will look into it.

How many pets and people does the free plan allow?

Each home has room for up to 2 pets and 2 people, you included. With MiloPlus, coming soon: up to 6 pets and 6 people. A sitter with a sitter code doesn't take anyone's place in the home.

If someone leaves the home or is removed, what happens to the pets?

Everyone keeps the pets they added themselves, and the pets others added stay with them. The home admin can remove someone; we let them know quietly in the app, and they can only come back with a new home code. If the admin wants to leave while others are still in the home, they first hand the home over to one of them. To delete an account completely, see how to delete your account.

I'm going away. What does my pet's sitter see?

From "Leaving ‹your pet› with someone" you make a handover sheet: which pets and until when, food, medicines and notes, habits, and who to call if they're worried. The sheet is made on your own phone, you send it to the sitter yourself, and it is always free.

With MiloPlus, coming soon, you can also make a sitter code: for one person, for up to 14 days. The sitter sees only those pets' daily care and, if you allow it, ticks tasks off. On the last day the access closes by itself. The sitter doesn't join your home and never sees your number, your other pets, photos or posts.

The social part

Do I have to make my pet public?

No. The care part works completely privately. A pet's public profile only exists if you want one, and you can make it private again at any time.

What does following a pet mean?

You see their moments and posts. In Persian the app calls it «هم‌دل»: sharing a heart with them.

Will my pet's page show up on Google?

No. A pet's page lives inside the app, for people with an account; it never appears on this site or in Google search. The pets you see on this site are either examples or the team's own pets, shown with their family's permission.

Who sees their personality and the line about them?

While your pet is private, only you and the people in your home. If you make their page public, it shows on their page in the app. Links and phone numbers aren't accepted in that line; it's about them.

Can I write as my pet?

Yes. It's your story, tell it however you like. We ourselves never speak for your pet or write in their voice.

Who sees my pet's stories? Can I see who viewed them?

Your pet's followers see their stories, and the whole tribe sees answers to the Question of the day. After 24 hours a story is gone for everyone. There is no "who viewed" list and no view count; which stories you've seen is recorded only on your own phone. The only reaction is a paw, and only the people in your own home see it. If your pet's page isn't public yet, the app tells you before posting that a story makes it public. A finished story's file is kept for 15 days only for handling reports, seen by no one, and then deleted, unless a report about it is still being handled.

Can passport stamps be bought?

No. A stamp only comes when something really happened: a birthday, the day they came home, Nowruz, Yalda night or a season they spent with you. Stamps can't be bought, MiloPlus makes no difference to them, and there are no rankings or tables. From the passport, only the three stamps you pick show on your pet's page.

What happens to their page if my pet passes away?

You note it in their record. Their page stays, headed “In memory of” their name, with their record and moments kept. Their reminders stop, no birthday or anniversary is announced to anyone, and they no longer appear in Explore. You can make the page private whenever you want.

Someone is bothering me. What can I do?

Report or block them from their post, comment or profile. A person on our team reviews every report. Community rules

Can I sell or rehome a pet here?

No. MiloPet is not a marketplace, and posts buying, selling or "rehoming for a fee" are removed. To hand a pet to a new carer, work with a shelter or a vet.

Can others see how many followers and likes I have?

By default, yes. In Settings › Showing numbers you can hide them from others; you always see them yourself.

Vets and shops

What's the difference between "Documents verified" and the golden tick?

"Documents verified" means a person on our team has seen your veterinary license or business permit. The golden tick is something else and says nothing about a license or medical qualification. Full explanation

What do I need to send, and is my address made public?

A photo of your license or permit, its number, your province and city, and the full address of your clinic or shop, all from inside the app. Your address is never shown to anyone; it's only for the check. Your page only shows your province.

Download and install

Where do I download it?

From Cafe Bazaar, Myket, or as a direct file from this site's download page. Installed from a store, updates arrive by themselves.

Is the APK on this site safe?

Only take the file from this site's download page. Its fingerprint and signing-certificate fingerprint are shown next to it so you can check them yourself. We never send the app file on Telegram, in DMs or in groups.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. MiloPet is for Android only for now.

Which phones does it run on?

Android 7 and newer.
